Argel joined Even in the late 1980s following the takeover of several family-run regional companies specialising in the door-to-door sale of frozen products. Argel currently serves 70 departments across mainland France, delivering to more than 300,000 families seven days a week. The company has a catalogue of 750 products, introducing more than 100 new items each year. In response to customer needs, Argel has added a range of around 100 grocery and hygiene products to its catalogue, as well as a range of kitchen utensils.

 

Artika

Artika joined Even in 1998. The company specialises in the door-to-door sale of frozen products. Each day, a team of around 100 salespeople deliver to more than 65,000 families in Brittany, Pays de la Loire, the Centre region, Burgundy and Auvergne. Artika has its own production facility that specialises in the manufacture of tailor-made and exclusive recipes. It sources the majority of its products from local, highly reputable SMEs.

A2S was formed through the merger of three former Even subsidiaries – Achille Bertrand Bretagne, Sdal and Sodipa. It is part of the Réseau Krill network, a food wholesaler and supplier to catering professionals. It is accredited ISO 9001. A2S is a member of Produit en Bretagne association since April 2015. Its catchment area covers the Finistère, Manche and Mayenne regions. It boasts a catalogue of more than 3,700 fresh, frozen and grocery products, ranging from starters right through to desserts. Its catalogue includes a range of regional specialities such as Guéméné Andouille sausage, pure butter Kouign Amann and ice cream with traditional Breton "palet" biscuits.

Bondu joined Even in 2003. It sells specialist products for bakeries and cake producers. Its catchment area covers the Finistère, Manche and Mayenne regions. It boasts a catalogue of nearly 8,000 products, including ingredients (butter, yeast, flavourings, etc.), additives (release agents, etc.) and frozen products (pastries, dough rolls, etc.).

Gabopla joins Even Group in 2017. The French firm Gabopla, based in Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire near Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), is a distributor specialised in the bakery, pastry and chocolate sectors. For 40 years, the teams at Gabopla have been working hand-in-hand with the firm's clients – bakers, pastry chefs and chocolatiers – and keeping abreast of changes in consumption trends.

Legeay

Legeay joined Even in 2006. It sells specialist products for bakeries and cake producers. Its catchment area covers the Vendée, Charentes and Poitiers regions. It boasts a catalogue of nearly 8,000 products, including ingredients (butter, yeast, flavourings, etc.), additives (release agents, etc.) and frozen products (pastries, dough rolls, etc.).

SovéFrais

Sovéfrais distributes fresh products to collective and commercial catering providers and local shops. This subsidiary of Even boasts a catalogue of more than 2,500 products and serves around 4,000 customers. Sovéfrais has a presence across all four departments of the Brittany region, with five branches located in Auray, Quimper, Pleumeleuc, Ploudaniel and Tréglamus.

 

Even has been expanding into the food distribution sector through organic growth and acquisitions since the early 1990s. This business unit operates in two markets: home delivery to individuals and food service. It helps to mitigate the Group's vulnerability to agricultural economic cycles. Even Distribution employs 3,010 people and, in 2018, generated turnover of €635 million.

 

Home delivery: cultivating the art of listening

Argel and Artika are two home delivery companies specialising in the sale of frozen products to individuals. They were acquired by Even in the 1990s. They currently serve 70 departments across France, delivering to more than 360,000 families, seven days a week. They provide their customers with an extended range of more than 800 products and have a strong emphasis on customer service. They are committed to innovation, introducing more than 100 new products each year. The products that they sell are carefully selected from companies with a strong reputation for expertise and reliability.

Food service: serving the food retail trade

The company distributes to the food retail trade, focusing on four key areas:

  • The Réseau Krill network, which combines ten regional companies covering the whole of France. It distributes a total of 3,000 products in three temperature categories (frozen, chilled and powdered/condensed), including a wide range of ice creams, and operates fresh meat cutting plants.
  • The Professionnels du Surgelé network, Alliance Atlanterra, which combines four companies distributed along the Atlantic rim. These companies specialise in the distribution of ice creams and frozen food products, offering a range of more than 1,000 products.
  • The bakery and pastry sector, with four companies selling specific products for bakeries and cake producers in Brittany, Loire-Atlantique and Charente.
  • Sovéfrais, which distributes chilled products across Brittany.
