The Welcome, Integration, and Training program (AIF) is a true cross-functional company project, driven by the Laïta management committee. It involves all professions, departments, sites, and activities. New hires want to feel expected and well welcomed. They need landmarks to acquire skills that will make them autonomous in their roles and, if they wish, to be able to progress. Laïta, for its part, aims to strengthen its attractiveness, renew, and retain its workforce. With this in mind, employees from various sites and professions shared their best practices to harmonize them and create common tools to welcome their future colleagues. They co-constructed the foundations of the AIF program, which evolves based on feedback and the needs of our activities. Since January 2024, we have been rolling out an integration day that allows new recruits to discover Laïta, its products, and the site where they work in a fun and engaging way. The welcoming process within the company has also been formalized, with the distribution of a site welcome booklet and an HR booklet containing all the useful information to understand the work environment, as well as employees’ rights and obligations. In 2025, a pilot phase started to test a guide through which managers and their teams will prepare for the arrival of every new hire in their department. At the same time, a working group (WG) is studying how to harmonize the onboarding and job training of shift workers, who number around 1,600 at Laïta across about fifty activities. The various transversal WGs rely on the three AIF coordinators (one per region), who dedicate 100% of their working time to implementing and developing the program. AIF is a real asset for all of us! The sharing of best practices, feedback, and improvement of common tools have created truly strong human relationships internally. Ultimately, all Laïta employees will be involved in this approach.
